According to the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), one of the anticipated effects of climate change is an increase in both frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, floods, tropical cyclones and droughts. In short, effective adaptation against extreme weather events is vital in Hong Kong and managing this risk is critical for business.
