CCBF - Post Copenhagen To Hong Kong: What the Climate Talks Imply for Us
What really was the outcome of the climate negotiations in Copenhagen, and what do they mean for Hong Kong? On Tuesday 12 January 2010, Civic Exchange, the British Consulate-General in Hong Kong, the Climate Change Business Forum, and The Climate Group will offer a debrief. Topics will include what Copenhagen has achieved, what remains to be done in 2011, and what these outcomes imply for China and Hong Kong. FromCopenhagen to Hong Kongwill bring together delegates attending the COP15 climate talks and others interested in the UNFCCC process to reflect and share perspectives.
The HKSAR Government delegation, headed by the Secretary for the Environment, is sending representatives as part of the Chinese delegation team. Hong Kong based NGOs and companies are also sending representatives. The debriefing will draw upon this diverse and talented group. A discussion will follow on how China and Hong Kong may contribute to fighting climate change, and what specifically Hong Kong can do in 2010.
