Cities consume 75% of the world's energy, and generate up to 75% of global greenhouse gases. Thus it is in cities where collaboration on the transition to low-carbon economies is evolving. And businesses play an important role in this transition. Each of our speakers have firsthand experience of guiding cities in their search for sustainable futures and engaging businesses in the process. They will share some of the models that the UK's Carbon Trust and the C40 Cities have successfully applied, and offer lessons for future low-carbon development in Asia.

Featured Speakers:
Tim Lancaster, China Director, The Carbon Trust. The Carbon Trust is a not-for-profit UK company with the mission of accelerating the move to a low carbon economy. It provides specialist support to help business and the public sector cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies. Mr. Lancaster's visit is part of UK government's Prosperity Campaign, to promote the benefits and sharing of experience in moving towards a low carbon economy.
